Bernard Pierce has shoulder surgery 4-5 month recovery time By: Mike Krueger | Jan 30 2014, 9:30 am
Ravens backup running back Bernard Pierce underwent successful right shoulder surgery today at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia to repair his rotator cuff, his agent told The Baltimore Sun.
Pierce is expected to require four to five months of rehabilitation and is expected to make a full recovery.
FFToday's Take:Pierce was bothered by his shoulder injury through much of the season as the Ravens running game was non-existent, finishing 30th in the league. Pierce averaged 2.9 yards per carry. Given his timetable, he should be available for training camp in July.
