Cowboys have a new playcaller Former Detroit OC Scott Linehan expected to join staff By: Mike Krueger | Jan 28 2014, 11:20 am
The Dallas Cowboys will have their third offensive playcaller in as many years with Scott Linehan joining the coaching staff as passing game coordinator, a source told ESPN Senior NFL Insider Chris Mortensen.
The former Lions offensive coordinator took part in Monday's team meetings, sources said, but the team has not made an official announcement. (Dallas Morning News)
FFToday's Take:This will be Tony Romo's third offensive playcaller in three seasons. Current OC Bill Callahan is expected to retain his job meaning there may be too many chefs in the Cowboys' offensive kitchen in 2014. DeMarco Murray became more involved towards the end of the season but Linehan's pass-happy approach may derail Murray's fantasy momentum in 2014.
