Lions hire Joe Lombardi as OC
Former QB coach of the Saints
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 21 2014, 1:00 pm

Detroit Lions
A week after hiring a head coach in Jim Caldwell who worked closely with Peyton Manning for 10 seasons, the Lions tabbed Joe Lombardi, the quarterbacks coach for Drew Brees the last five years, to be their next offensive coordinator. Lombardi, the grandson of Hall of Fame former Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi, worked closely with Brees in his most prolific seasons with the New Orleans Saints. (Detroit Free Press)

FFToday's Take: The Lions now have a new head head coach and OC for the 2014 season and are making a huge push to give Matthew Stafford all the help he needs to succeed. Stafford has been a top ten fantasy quarterback the last three seasons and ranked 4th at his position this year with 4647 yards and 31 total TDs.
