Pettigrew misses practice Thursday

Brandon Pettigrew missed his second straight practice today because of an ankle injury he suffered at the end of Monday night’s 18-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was on crutches as he made his way through the locker room Wednesday but declined to talk to reporters. (Detroit Free Press)

FFToday's Take: The Lions added TE Matt Veldman from the practice squad, a sure sigh that Pettigrew is likely to sit out this week's game against the Giants. Joseph Fauria could see increased targets in Pettigrew's absence putting him on the TE2 radar.
