| Jets sign S Ed Reed Nine-time Pro Bowler reunites with Rex Ryan By: Doug Orth | Nov 14 2013, 3:30 pm

| The Jets reached an agreement with veteran safety Ed Reed Thursday. Reed was cut by the Texans earlier in the week, and speculation mounted that a reunion with his former coordinator in Baltimore, Rex Ryan, could be in order.
The safety signed with the Texans in the offseason, but didn’t have the same impact that he had had for many years in Baltimore. Dawan Landry and second-year player Antonio Allen have started at safety this season for the Jets. (New York Daily News)
FFToday's Take: Reed obviously isn't the same player he was in his prime, but the Jets shouldn't need him to play at that level. Allen has struggled for most of the season, so the hope is that Reed will play center field at a respectable level and allow Landry to play in the box more often.
