Dolphins deal for benched OT McKinnie-- Mon Oct 21 3:25 pm --
Tannehill has been sacked 26 times this season
The Miami Dolphins have traded for Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie. The Dolphins traditionally do not announce trades until they become official, and McKinnie would presumably need to pass a physical before it is.
McKinnie would apparently come into compete with a struggling Tyson Clabo - if not replace him altogether. Clabo has allowed eight sacks in six games this year, including one late in regulation Sunday that effectively cost Miami the game. (Miami Herald)
FF Today's Take:The compensation is likely a conditional sixth- or seventh-round choice, but the upgrade may be marginal at best. Pro Football Focus ranks McKinnie as the league’s 65th-best tackle this year while Clabo ranks 66th. However, McKinnie has given up one sack while Clabo has surrendered eight.
