Texans HC Gary Kubiak said at his weekly news conference today that receiver Andre Johnson is “fine” but remains a day-to-day issue as far his leg injury is concerned.
Johnson got kicked in the shin during the Texans’ 30-9 loss at Baltimore. He tried to play but couldn’t help limping and was sent to the bench in the fourth quarter. He finished with five catches for 36 yards.
“The X-rays were (negative),” Kubiak said. “He’ll be okay.” (Houston Chronicle)
FF Today's Take:Johnson faces the Seahawks - and will likely see a lot of Richard Sherman - in Week 4. Despite departing back-to-back games early, Johnson ranks third in the NFL with 25 receptions and 16th with 258 receiving yards. Despite the difficult matchup, Johnson needs to remain in fantasy lineups if he is active. For what it is worth, Johnson went off for 11 catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns in his first and only game against Seattle back in 2009.
