| Lions "encouraged" by tests on Bush -- Mon Sep 16 3:45 pm --|
Injured left knee in Week 2
|Detroit Lions HC Jim Schwartz said he doesn't believe RB Reggie Bush has a serious knee injury. Bush, who was scheduled to undergo an MRI, could be available to play in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Schwartz acknowledged that Bush will be sore but said that the results of Monday's tests were "encouraging." However, Schwartz also emphasized that Bush's injury might not be a short-term one. Schwartz also said Bush's only concern is the knee injury, not the groin or thumb injuries he suffered in Detroit's season-opening victory against Minnesota. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Bush injured his left knee when it collided with Arizona safety Tony Jefferson's helmet in Sunday's 26-21 loss. He left the game but returned later. For now, expect Bush to go in Week 3. However, Joique Bell has quickly emerged as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 over the first two weeks of the season in PPR leagues and is one of the better handcuffs in the NFL.
