Chiefs hopeful Charles will be ready-- Mon Sep 9 8:00 pm --
Nursing quad injury
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles was nursing a quadriceps contusion on Monday, and head coach Andy Reid was hopeful he’d be ready for Sunday’s home opener against Dallas. “He does have a range of motion,” Reid said, “but we’ll just see how he does here over this week. He is moving around … he’s OK.”

FF Today's Take:Charles returned for one carry then left the game for good as the Chiefs blew out the Jaguars. It's notable that Cyrus Gray and not Knile Davis entered the game when Charles left. We'll have a better idea on Charles' status after Wednesday's practice.
