Will face Eagles on Monday night
|Redskins HC Mike Shanahan acknowledged what had been expected all along: Robert Griffin III will start for his team when Washington opens the season on Sept. 9.
Shanahan said that he, Griffin, orthopedist James Andrews, GM Bruce Allen and head trainer Larry Hess took part in a conference call Sunday and that Andrews shared the concerns he had coming away from the physical conducted on Griffin last Thursday. Shanahan wouldn’t share what matters concerned Andrews, but he said “everyone’s on the same page,” and that he has no doubt that Griffin can play without limitation. (Washington Post)|
FF Today's Take: This has been the sentiment all along as Griffin seemingly cruised through his rehab with very few - if any - setbacks. The only mystery that remains is whether or not Washington will allow RG3 to run as often as he did in 2012. He should be considered a low-end QB1 given the fact he has torn his ACL twice, but his upside - as he showed for a time last season - is that of the highest-scoring quarterback in fantasy.
