| UPDATE: Steve Johnson hurts hamstring -- Fri Aug 2 10:15 pm --|
Likely to miss preseason
|UPDATE: "Although it remains to be seen whether the injury will limit Johnson down the road once the regular season kicks off, the Bills have to be somewhat concerned. According to NBC Sports Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, "the assumption is that he'll miss most of the preseason.'" Steve Johnson injured his hamstring Friday morning, was helped off the field by training staff, and had an MRI performed that same afternoon. (Bleacher Report)|
FF Today's Take: If Steve Johnson is forced to miss any time the Bills will be hurting for a viable WR option for whoever wins their QB battle. In the past he's played through pain so there's reason to be optimistic about his outlook, but for a speedy deep threat WR a hamstring injury is nearly crippling. For now draft him as if he'll miss a week or two, but stay tuned for updates to see how quickly (or slowly) he is able to return to full speed.
