Bears D still forcing turnovers-- Tue Jul 30 11:00 am --
New coach doesn't change what worked so well last year
"[Mel] Tucker’s smartest move as the new defensive coordinator was his first one — to keep [Lovie] Smith’s defense virtually intact... They’re spending most of their time in practice doing what many of them were taught by Smith... [to] do whatever you can to force a turnover." (Chicago Sun-Times)
FF Today's Take:The Chicago Bears forced the most turnovers last year (44); the only other team with more than 35 was the New England Patriots (41). It may be hard to replicate that same production this year, but with the same scheme in tact they'll certainly have their opportunities. If the defense is anywhere near as effective as they were last year, they will likely be another high producing fantasy D/ST unit despite their off season personnel losses, particularly captain Brian Urlacher.
