TE Chandler could be ready for camp-- Mon Jul 1 4:15 pm --
Progressing well following ACL surgery
The original hope was that TE Scott Chandler would be full go for the start of the regular season in September, but his remarkable recovery from ACL surgery has him a month ahead of schedule. He’ll be set for the start of training camp. His only concern is being properly conditioned for the speed at which the offense is going to operate.
Chandler said the only possible restriction come training camp for him is he’ll be given a rest day every three or four practices as a precaution. (BuffaloBiIls.com)
FF Today's Take:Chandler - a favorite of non-PPR owners that subscribe to the theory of waiting to draft tight ends - was a favorite red-zone target of ex-Bill QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. His fit in HC Doug Marrone's offense is less clear and his playing time could be threatened sooner than later by highly-athletic seventh-round pick Chris Gragg. Chandler needs to be viewed as nothing more than mid-level TE2 in fantasy this year.
