|Big pay day for Romo -- Fri Mar 29 4:40 pm --|
$55 million guaranteed
|To clear salary-cap space and lock up their franchise quarterback, the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo reached an agreement on a blockbuster six-year extension worth $108 million, making him the highest paid player in franchise history, according to league sources. Romo will receive $55 million guaranteed from the Cowboys, $3 million more than Flacco got from the Ravens. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Romo, 33, is now locked up through the last productive years in the NFL. He finished as the 7th best fantasy QB in 2012 and as the 9th best fantasy QB in 2011. With solid receiving options at his disposal he'll be a valued QB1 in drafts this summer.
