Veteran QB expected to be depth player for Jets
Veteran quarterback David Garrard "anticipates putting a deal together" with the New York Jets once the team can work through some salary-cap issues, a source close to the situation tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. "Both sides are feeling good about a possible deal," the source said. A source familiar with the situation said he sees a deal between the Jets and Garrard as likely. (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: Garrard is a veteran and likely just a depth player but with the uncertainty surrounding the Jets at the quarterback position, it wouldn't be the least likely NFL occurrence to see the 35-year-old under center at some point in 2013.
