Randle ready for increased role? -- Wed Feb 13 7:00 am --
Rueben Randle favorite for number three receiver | Rueben Randle did finish his rookie year well, including a four-catch, two-touchdown performance in the season-ending victory over Philadelphia. He caught 19 passes in 16 games - 10 of them in 2 games (6 vs. Cleveland and 4 vs. Philadelphia). Clearly, he needs to provide more consistent production. But the Giants believe he will do that as an NFL sophomore. Right now, Randle is the heavy favorite to be the Giants’ third wideout in 2013, with Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz as the starters. Assuming his stays healthy, I would be very surprised if Randall didn’t at least double his number of reception next season. (Giants.com)
FF Today's Take: Doubling his output from 2012 (19 rec, 298 yards, 3 TDs) would rank him in mid-40s among fantasy wide receivers and put Randle in the fantasy WR4/5 category. Think Nate Washington, Brandon LaFell, Donnie Avery. He would need an injury to starters Nicks or Cruz to be a true breakout fantasy star.
