Shurmur returns to the Eagles     -- Tue Jan 22 1:31 pm --

Eagles land an OC: not expected to call plays
The Eagles have hired former Browns head coach Pat Shurmur as offensive coordinator. Shurmur has 15 years of NFL experience and spent 2002-08 with the Eagles. Shurmur will not have full reign over the offense, as Chip Kelly is expected to be the architect of the offensive system and call his own plays. (Jason La Canfora on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The news does not have much implication for fantasy owners. Owners already new that Kelly would have all of the influence on the offensive side of the ball in Philadelphia, which bodes well for Eagles fantasy players. Kelly is known for his up-tempo offense, and Eagles skill position players should flourish in this system.
