Bears look to be partial to Alouettes HC Trestman | The Chicago Tribune's Vaughn McClure has been told Marc Trestman is the "heavy favorite" for the Bears head-coaching vacancy. McClure's colleague, David Haugh, reported that Trestman and Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell are the only two that will be brought back for follow-up interviews. In opposition, the Chicago Sun-Times has reported that Bruce Arians is a third finalist. FOX NFL Sunday analyst Jimmy Johnson tweeted on Friday that it "looks like" Trestman will get the job in Chicago, but was met with immediate opposition by Bears officials once it was reported. FF Today's Take: Trestman has never served as a head coach in the NFL or college ranks, but has lead the Montreal Alouettes to the CFL championship as their head coach the last two years. Despite Trestman’s inexperience as a head coach in the NFL, he has served as an assistant for eight teams since 1985.
