Following shooting and stabbing incident | A close friend of Kenny Britt was stabbed and was taken to the hospital by Britt, who refused to discuss the incident with cops, police said. About an hour-and-a-half later, a gunshot rang out at a home near where the stabbing occurred. The shot was fired just after the married receiver left with a woman at the same house. Police were then notified that a stabbing victim had walked into the Jersey City Medical Center with Britt. Police yesterday had initially identified the 23-year-old victim as Britt’s brother, but later said the victim was a “close, personal friend.” (Jersey Journal)
FF Today's Take: It is important to note Britt is not considered a suspect at this point, but his refusal to cooperate with the authorities is troubling. Britt has no shortage of off-field issues and, at some point, the Titans may decide enough is enough. As of Monday, Britt was still not cooperating with the police and there isn't a lot of information available at this point, so any conclusions at this point would be premature.
