DeVier Posey tears Achilles -- Mon Jan 14 1:50 am --
Likely faces at least six months of rehab | DeVier Posey was one of the hardest workers on the Texans’ roster all year, knowing that getting on the field on game day would be tough after playing very little football last season at Ohio State.
Posey’s season ended painfully, and quicker than the rest of his teammates’ by a few plays. Posey tore his left Achilles tendon with 6:13 left in Sunday’s 41-28 loss to New England on a play that didn’t even count because the Patriots jumped offside. Now he’ll face another long road, this one to recovery.

FF Today's Take: Posey made a few impact plays in this game, including a juggling touchdown catch sliding on his back. Rehab can take anywhere from six months to a year, although Terrell Suggs returned to the field six months after tearing his Achilles tendon in the offseason. However, his recovery was considered abnormally fast. Posey will be up against the clock to be fantasy relevant next year and his injury may force the team to use another draft pick at the position.
