Gronkowski re-injures forearm -- Mon Jan 14 1:25 am --
Out for postseason | Last year, the Patriots had to try to win the Super Bowl with an injured Rob Gronkowski. This year, they’ll have to try to win a championship without him at all. Gronkowski re-injured his forearm during the first quarter of Sunday’s game. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Gronkowski needs surgery. He’ll miss the rest of the postseason.
Gronkowski injured the arm again while falling to the ground, trying to make a catch. The original injury occurred on November 18. He returned in Week 17, catching two passes for 42 yards against the Dolphins. (Pro Football Talk)
FF Today's Take: Gronkowski suffered a sprained ankle in the AFC title game last year. He played two weeks later with the injury, but he was impaired by the ankle. These are hardly chronic injuries, but frustrating for one of the top tight ends in football. Gronkowski should be fine well in advance of next season and is worthy of a second- or third-round pick in fantasy leagues. With Gronk, Aaron Hernandez's playoff fantasy value gets a huge boost.
