Injury Cobb and Nelson practice Thursday     -- Thu Jan 10 5:55 pm --

Limited, but expected to play versus 49ers
Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday and coach Mike McCarthy expects him to play against the 49ers on Saturday. "Important for him to practice," McCarthy said via the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel. "Important to be outside. Randall took reps we set up for him. I think by game time he'll be fine." Receiver Jordy Nelson was also back after he missed Wednesday with an ankle injury. He was limited. (NFL.com)

FF Today's Take: Green Bay may have both receivers back on the field as soon as this weekend. Randall Cobb had a nice outing in week 1 against the 49ers, catching all nine balls thrown to him for 77 yards. As long as he continues to progress (illness) he should be in store for plenty more targets. Meanwhile, the inconsistent Jordy Nelson is a flex option at best while he deals with a sore ankle.
