Injury Garcon is hopefull to avoid surgery     -- Tue Jan 8 12:53 pm --

Redskins WR says 'hopefully surgery is not an option'
Pierre Garcon is hopeful he will avoid surgery this offseason. At one point it looked like Garcon would be forced to miss the rest of the 2012 season with season ending toe surgery, but after the Week 10 bye Garcon returned and learned to play through the pain. "That's the LAST thing," Garcon said of going under the knife. "Hopefully surgery is not an option, but if I get enough doctors to say I need surgery, then surgery it is. But, if I can limp around for seven more years, I'll probably limp around for seven more years and be all right." (Washington Post)

FF Today's Take: Headed into 2013 Garcon will be a top twenty-fantasy wide receiver, but his foot injury will be a concern. Another factor to consider for Garcon in 2013 is the status of Robert Griffin III. If Griffin is unable to play the majority of next year due to his knee injury, Garcon’s value will take a hit.
