Browns move on from Chip Kelly     -- Sun Jan 6 8:50 pm --

Not convinced coach was sold on leaving Ducks
The Browns walked away from Oregon coach Chip Kelly because they weren't sure his heart was 100% into leaving Oregon. Sensing that Kelly was waffling on whether or not to jump to the NFL or stay with the Ducks, the Browns removed themselves from the running and flew home from Arizona to restart their search without him. The Browns have already interviewed Ray Horton, Ken Whisenhunt, Syracuse coach Doug Marrone and Penn State coach Bill O'Brien - although Marrone accepted the Bills job and O'Brien chose to stay in Happy Valley. FF Today's Take: Kelly is now expected to decide between the Eagles and staying at Oregon; it is suspected that Kelly seemed to be leaning toward staying in college. The Browns have reportedly added Colts OC Bruce Arians and Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman to their coach wish list. All of the coaches' backgrounds - except Horton - are on the offensive side of the ball, with Trestman having the most aggressive reputation of the bunch.
