FF Today's Take: Jacobs did himself no favors by suggesting he was "rotting away" once he returned from his early-season knee injury. He was suspended for three games and let go the day after the team most likely to sign him - the Giants - was eliminated from the playoffs. One season after making history, David Akers could face competition for his job after missing 13 attempts in 2012.
