Jags place running back on IR
The Jaguars finally placed running back Maurice Jones-Drew on the season-ending injured reserve list today. Coach Mike Mularkey said Jones-Drew was scheduled to have foot surgery today in Charlotte, N.C. Mularkey would not reveal if the injury was for a broken bone or damaged ligaments but said Jones-Drew has not set himself back in preparing for the 2013 season by waiting two months to have surgery. (Florida Times-Union)

FF Today's Take: It's been a lost season for the Jags star running back who injured his foot in Week 7. The full extent of his injury isn't known and no timetable has been set for his return. MJD will enter the final year of his contract in 2013.
