Ray Lewis activated by Ravens-- Wed Dec 26 11:00 pm -- But won't play until the postseason
The Ravens moved linebacker Ray Lewis from short-term injured reserve to their 53-man roster on Wednesday, reports the NFL’s Gregg Rosenthal. Lewis tore his triceps in Week 6 against the Cowboys; he began practicing three weeks ago. Wide receiver LaQuan Williams was placed on injured reserve to make room for the 17-year veteran in what was largely a “procedural move.” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Lewis would not be on the field for the team’s final regular season game against the Bengals but would return for the playoffs. FF Today's Take:Lewis loves the game and will likely be back for an 18th season in 2013 if he has anything to say about it. He's no longer the IDP stalwart he was in the prime of his career, but he still provides good fantasy support to the Ravens' defense, forcing fumbles and getting the odd sack and interception.
