McCoy says players at fault, not Reid -- Fri Dec 21 10:20 pm --
RB defends coach who will likely be fired at season's end | Andy Reid is expected to coach his final game at home for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. It’s a foregone conclusion the man that has led the franchise to five NFC Championship Games will be fired at season’s end. And the players, at least running back LeSean McCoy, believe they are the ones to blame for the fate of the coach, who has been in place for 14 seasons. “If you sat here and tried to name five to eight coaches that are better than Coach Reid, I would like to hear them," McCoy said, according to Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I guess people have their own opinions, and their minds are made up. I think the thing about the team is, we know how good of a coach he really is. (SI.com)
FF Today's Take: McCoy might be on to something here. While McCoy's production hasn't been terrible, he, Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson and Brent Celek's current numbers are less impressive than in past years.
