Edwards claimed by Jets     -- Wed Dec 12 11:55 am --

WR signed to help ailing receiver core
The Jets have claimed Braylon Edwards off waivers from the Seahawks. No other team put in a claim for Edwards, but the Jets were left in a tough spot with injuries to Stephen Hill (knee), Clyde Gates (concussion), and Dustin Keller (ankle). This Jets claim comes a week after Edwards bashed the organization on Twitter. Edwards caught eight passes for 74 yards over 10 games with the Seahawks. Seattle cited an injury when they waived Edwards, but expect the prodigal son to back up starters Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens on Sunday.

FF Today's Take: Edwards is not worth ownership in 40 teams leagues. With a limited time to learn the playbook, combined with the fact that he isn’t a good football player anymore, Edwards will be lucky to catch one pass this year. If you are in leagues where wide receivers get points for dropped passes however, Edwards may be worth an add.
