Marcus Lattimore to turn pro -- Mon Dec 10 6:45 pm --
Injured South Carolina RB to forgo senior season | South Carolina RB Marcus Lattimore will enter the NFL draft, according to a source close to the player. An official announcement is expected this week, possibly Wednesday. Lattimore suffered an extensive injury to the ACL and LCL in his right knee in late October and has been rehabilitating vigorously. Lattimore believes that focusing entirely on his rehabilitation with NFL team doctors will help him recover the quickest, according to the source.
Lattimore's recovery is on schedule, according to the source, and he is not using crutches. Lattimore also has the blessing of South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier.

FF Today's Take: Lattimore, who suffered the injury on Oct. 27, will likely be placed on IR by the team that drafts (or signs) him in 2013, but he's a player with the talent on par with the best college running backs in recent memory. While he still faces a long road to recovery, it is remarkable that he is already training vigorously. Lattimore has a goal of jogging and catching passes at the end of March and his combination of work ethic and talent means he needs to remain on the dynasty league radar.
