Vick, McCoy cleared to practice -- Mon Dec 10 6:20 pm --
Have yet to be cleared by independent neurologist | Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy returned to baseline on their imPACT tests, the team announced, and could return to practice as early as Tuesday. An Eagles spokesman indicated that both players have yet to see an independent neurologist, a necessary step before being cleared after a concussion.
Vick went home sick on Monday (unrelated to his head injury) and was unavailable. McCoy made a brief appearance in the locker room and joked how he was feeling better until he saw the media. (Philly Mag: Birds 24/7)
FF Today's Take: Andy Reid has already named Nick Foles the starter for the remainder of the year. McCoy will return as the starter at some point, but it remains in question how much he will share the load with Bryce Brown going forward. However, with the Eagles back in action on Thursday against the Bengals and McCoy yet to clear all the necessary steps of the NFL's concussion protocol, Brown will likely be a RB1 for one more week at least.
