LaFell seen in a walking boot -- Tue Dec 4 1:28 pm --
Panthers WR underwent an MRI on Monday | Brandon LaFell (foot) underwent an MRI on Monday and was seen in a walking boot around the team’s facility. The injury was originally diagnosed as a sprain. Offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski has been enthused over LaFell’s replacement—Louis Murphy. "The last few weeks in particular (Murphy has) made some big plays for us," Chudzinski said. "He's a guy that works extremely hard, he's got a great attitude about things." (Charlotte Observer )
FF Today's Take: After a year of much a do about nothing, LaFell had come around in Weeks 11 and 12 with eight catches, for 167 yards, and two touchdowns. From the tone in Chudzinski’s voice it does not sound like LaFell is expected to play in Week 14, but Louis Murphy, LaFell’s backup, should not be considered a pickup, even in deep leagues. Murphy scored a touchdown on his only catch last week, but the Panthers play the Falcons in Week 14 who are second in the NFL against team’s number two wide receivers and 15th in overall pass defense.
