Knee injury sidelines Broyles -- Mon Dec 3 12:30 am -- Right knee injury has team concerned
With Titus Young and Brian Robiskie inactive Sunday, the Lions were already short on receivers. It got worse when rookie Ryan Broyles went out with a right knee injury. That is Broyles' "good" knee, not the one he had ACL surgery on in 2011. After being tended to by trainers on the sideline, Broyles walked back to the locker room on his own power. Tight end Tony Scheffler assumed the role of the third receiver. (Detroit News)
FF Today's Take:HC Jim Schwartz now has himself a dilemma: risk losing his team by bringing back the player that tried to sabotage his team by purposely lining up wrong on more than one occasion or go the rest of the season with a player like Scheffler or Mike Thomas as Calvin Johnson's "protection". We'll know more after Monday's MRI, but the team is "concerned", according to beat writer Dave Birkett.
