Holmgren out in Cleveland -- Sun Nov 25 10:00 pm --
Browns executive could be paving way to coach again | Mike Holmgren strolled through the Browns locker room after Sunday's game, shaking hands and congratulating players on their last victory under his watch. Holmgren's lame-duck status had been known for weeks, but a timetable for departure was unclear. He had spoken of possibly finishing out the season in a advisory role.
Kevin Harlan, who called the game for CBS, mentioned Holmgren's imminent departure at the end of Sunday's telecast. The Browns went 12-31 under the tenure of Holmgren, who joined the club in 2010. He is expected to address the media Monday afternoon. (Cleveland Plain-Dealer)
FF Today's Take: The 64-year-old former coach said recently he would consider a return to the sidelines. A week ago, Holmgren spent time on the field in Dallas talking to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones before the Browns' 23-20 overtime loss. Holmgren directed the 1996 Packers to a Super Bowl victory before coaching the 2005 Seahawks to a NFC Championship win.
