Cutler 'doubtful' for Monday night -- Wed Nov 14 11:24 am --
Campbell likely to start as Bears QB | NFL insider John Clayton reported on Tuesday that Jay Cutler (concussion) is “doubtful” to play Monday night at San Francisco. Clayton said, “It looks like he’s probably going to miss this week.” Cutler will have a more involved testing process because of his history of concussions: six concussions since his college career. This compared to Alex Smith, a player who does not have a history of concussions, who will go through a less rigorous process.
FF Today's Take: If Cutler is unable to play on Monday night, Jason Campbell is not your best fantasy replacement. Campbell threw 11/19, mostly in check-downs, for 94 yards. A note of promise for fantasy owners is that Campbell’s play did not appear to affect the play of Brandon Marshall. Marshall caught all but one of his passes from Campbell in the second half. The combination of Campbell to Marshall totaled 7 receptions, for 101 yards, on 10 targets.
