Roethlisberger out for Sunday -- Wed Nov 14 10:50 am --
Steelers QB has shoulder and rib injuries | Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) will not play against division rival Baltimore, on Sunday night. Roethlisberger has a SC sprain in his throwing shoulder and a rib injury. ESPN has reported that the Steelers quarterback is “extremely sore” and “hurting pretty bad”; the injuries “could take a while to heal.” Byron Leftwich will replace Roethlisberger as the Pittsburgh signal caller. FF Today's Take: Roethlisberger is currently the 11th rated fantasy quarterback but has his numbers camouflaged by an eight point performance Monday night, when he had to leave the game due to injury. Big Ben has been a reliable fantasy quarterback this year, especially in deep leagues. The clear-cut replacement for Roethlisberger and for Alex Smith and Jay Cutler for that matter, is Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick threw for 117 yards, rushed for 66 yards, and scored a touchdown on the ground (17.28 fantasy points in standard leagues) in relief of Smith.
