Manning may have a 'tired arm'-- Tue Nov 13 11:45 am -- Giants to rest Manning in the bye Week
Eli Manning will rest his rest his arm during the Giants Week 11 bye. The Giants have denied that Manning suffers from “tired arm,” but have chosen to not have Manning throw any passes for a week. (Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)
FF Today's Take:There may be some statistical analysis to support the idea that Eli Manning has a “tired arm.” The Giants rank 12th in the NFL in yards per pass attempt (7 yards per attempt) but over the last three weeks they rank 32nd (5 yards per attempt). Conversely the Giants are 7th in yards per completion in 2012 (11.4 yards per completion) but are 29th over the last three games (9.1 yards per completion). The Giants yards per attempted pass and completion have been fewer over the last three weeks than they have been over the course of the year; noting their opponents have been the Cowboys, Steelers, and Bengals the last three weeks (7th, 1st, and 18th respectively against the pass).
