Pats' RB Bolden suspended for PEDs     -- Fri Nov 9 9:30 pm --

Rookie gets a four game suspension
New England Patriots running back Brandon Bolden has been suspended by the NFL for four games without pay for violating its policy on performance-enhancing substances. The league's announcement Friday did not specify the substance. The Patriots had no immediate reaction. (SI)

FF Today's Take: Bolden had been fairly impressive in limited action prior to getting injured midway through October, averaging 5.4 yards per carry to starting running back Stevan Ridley's 4.8. Ridley has assumed a heavy workload for the Patriots though this year and could be in line for a productive week facing a Bills' defense that is allowing 169.5 yards per game on the ground. They've also surrendered a league-worst 14 rushing touchdowns.
