Injury Darren Sproles out eight weeks?     -- Sat Nov 3 1:40 pm --

Fractured hand could keep Saints RB on sidelines two months
Coach Joe Vitt did not offer a timetable for Sproles' return from a broken hand but rehab for that injury can take as much as eight weeks, although it can decrease if he can play with a cast. (Biloxi Sun Herald)

FF Today's Take: Sproles' injury derails his 2012 goal of surpassing the NFL record he set last season with 2,696 all-purpose yards. This season, Sproles has rushed 26 times for 117 yards (4.5 average). He has also caught 39 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns. He also averaged 28.7 on kickoff returns and on punt returns, he averaged 6.6 yards. The favorite to take over for Sproles is Pierre Thomas whose skill set best lends itself for what the Saints are trying to do. Thomas immediately becomes a viable Fantasy option while Sproles is OUT.
