Brady Quinn to start for Chiefs -- Wed Oct 10 1:45 pm --
QB to make first start since 2009 | Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel announced Wednesday that Matt Cassel has not been cleared to practice following his concussion on Sunday. Quinn will take the No. 1 reps in practice. While Crennel wouldn't announce Quinn as the starter this week just yet, it seems like little more than a formality. Quinn was 3-for-3 replacing Cassel, but couldn't lead Kansas City to a comeback win over Baltimore. "Historically, the Chiefs fans are some of the best fans in the NFL. ... Anytime a player gets injured it's unfortunate," Crennel said at his press conference Wednesday. "I think the majority of the Kansas Chiefs fans felt bad about Matt (Cassel) was injured. There were some that expressed an opinion, a frustration that I have, that everybody else has about this season." (NFL.com)
FF Today's Take: Brady Quinn was a highly touted quarterback when he was selected in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft but never really got it going albeit in limited action with the Cleveland Browns. In two-quarterback or deep standard format leagues, Quinn could be worthy of an addition if your starter has a bye week coming up and you need to fill the position.
