Brown out 2-3 weeks -- Wed Oct 10 12:48 pm --
Colts RB to have a knee scope | Donald Brown underwent knee surgery Tuesday and will miss 2-3 weeks. Brown damaged his knee on his last touch Sunday against the Packers. Brown’s injury will not threaten the rest of his season and his surgery is comparable to the scope that Trent Richardson underwent a month before the season. Vick Ballard will start Sunday against the Jets. (Mike Chappell on Twitter)
FF Today's Take: Brown’s injury is a disappointment due to his improvement in the last two games. However fantasy owners should hang onto Brown. If Brown returns as scheduled in Week 10 he will go up against the Jaguars, Patriots, Bills, Lions, and Titans (29th, 8th, 30th, 13th, and 28th) from Week 10 to Week 14. Vick Ballard—Brown’s replacement—is a rookie out of Mississippi State and has averaged two yards per carry in four games this year. If you are in a league where starting running backs are hard to come by Ballard may be an option.
