Griffin cleared for practice -- Wed Oct 10 11:54 am --
QB cleared for practice but Sunday is still in question | According to a source with the Washington Post, Robert Griffin (concussion) has been cleared for practice Wednesday. Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said, “The experts are in charge of it now. We’re not. We have no say. They’ve got a standardized format, which I think is great.” Redskins’ doctors asked Griffin, after he came off the field against the Falcons, what the quarter and score of the game was. The first time doctors asked Griffin was able to give an accurate response but the second time Griffin “missed it.” (Washington Post)
FF Today's Take: Just because Griffin is cleared for practice does not mean he is cleared for contact or Sundays game. While some people around the football have been optimistic Griffin will play Sunday, all indications seem to point to the quarterback not playing. Kirk Cousins filled in against the Falcons, but fantasy owners may want to look to Kevin Kolb who plays against a Bills defense that has given up the most points to fantasy quarterbacks this year.
