Injury Cushing has torn his ACL     -- Wed Oct 10 10:41 am --

ILB will miss the rest of the regular season
As suspected Brian Cushing’s MRI revealed that he has a torn ACL. Cushing tore his ACL Monday night against the Jets, but haven't placed the Pro Bowl linebacker on IR in case the team makes the Super Bowl. Bradie James and Tim Dobbins will now start at middle linebacker for the Texans. (Profootballtalk on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The loss of Cushing is a major blow to a Texans defense that ranks fourth against the pass, ninth against the rush, and third in total defense. As a whole the Texans defense will recover from this loss but there are significant fantasy implications to Cushing’s absence. Look for opposing offenses to implement their tight ends more into game plans against the Texans.
