Injury Cassel is unlikely for Sunday     -- Tue Oct 9 12:13 pm --

Cassel's concussion will pave the way for Brady Quinn
Matt Cassel (concussion) has not been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay, but head coach Romeo Crennel says it is “highly unlikely” the quarterback will play. Cassel suffered a head injury Sunday against the Ravens and prior to his exit he completed 9-15 passes for 92 yards, had two interceptions, and lost one fumble. Brady Quinn, who has a career 67.3 passer rating and a 52.5 completion percentage, will fill in for Cassel. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: Believe it or not Brady Quinn may be able to produce this week with the best matchup he could ask for. The Chiefs play the Buccaneers Sunday who have the 32nd ranked passing defense. The Buccaneers will come off their bye week with a 1-4 record and look to prove they have solved their pass defense woes. As for Matt Cassel, the Chiefs have no reason to risk the health of their struggling quarterback with a bye after this week. Look for the Chiefs to give Cassel two weeks of rest.
