Cushing may be done for the year -- Tue Oct 9 10:30 am --
Texans middle linebacker could have a torn ACL | The Texans fear linebacker Brian Cushing could have torn his ACL in Houston’s 23-17 win over the Jets on Monday night. Cushing led the lead the team with 29 tackles, on a unit that is third the NFL in total defense. Cushing will undergo an MRI Tuesday when the team returns to Houston, according to the Houston Chronicle. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Cushing's loss is a blow to a team that has been much improved on the defensive side of the ball. From the team's initial reaction, it would not be a surprise if Cushing missed the rest of the season. The Texans are fourth in the NFL against the pass, and I cannot believe I will say this but, their defense has a favorable matchup against a Packers offense that ranks fifteenth in NFL in total passing yards.
