Andre Brown suffers concussion -- Sun Oct 7 7:45 pm --
Bradshaw explodes; rookie Wilson scores in relief | New York Giants running back Andre Brown has a concussion, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.
Brown was ruled out of Sunday's 41-27 win against the Cleveland Browns after suffering the injury while returning a kickoff during the first quarter.
Brown tweeted, "Everything is OK," after evaluation by the team's medical staff, which is a violation of a NFL rule which states players can only tweet up to 90 minutes before kickoff, and postgame after media interviews. (ESPNNewYork)
FF Today's Take: The hit that sidelined Brown came on special teams and may have opened the door for rookie David Wilson to finally deliver on the promise he showed in the preseason. Of course, Ahmad Bradshaw staked his claim for lead-back duties for the foreseeable future with 30 carries for 200 yards. However, Bradshaw's heavy workload this week is a concern going forward for one of the league's most injury-prone runners as the Giants face travel to San Francisco next week.
