Boss done for the year-- Wed Oct 3 1:00 pm -- Head injuries will imbue the TE's season
Kevin Boss (concussion) will be unable to play the rest of the year. Doctors told Boss that they would be unable to clear him for game action the rest of the season. Boss has had four serious concussions over the course of his career and will finish his first season with the Chiefs with three catches for 65 yards and one touchdown. Boss is due $2.4 million in base salary, and his status with the team will be called into question if his health cannot improve. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)
FF Today's Take:Boss was a viable addition to a Chiefs team that needed a jolt in the passing game. From 2009-2011 Boss had 13 touchdowns on just 1,466 yards receiving. The news is bad for Boss, but the targets that Boss took away from starting tight end Tony Moeaki will be reallocated back to the starter.
