Injury Holmes has Lisfranc injury     -- Wed Oct 3 11:02 am --

Holmes is '99% likely out for the year'
Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc injury and according to Yahoo’s Jason Cole it is “sill unclear if it’s broken, but is 99% likely out for the season.” In the event that Holmes has suffered a fracture, he should still be ready for the start of training camp next summer. Holmes had 20 catches for 272 yards and one touchdown this year. (Jason Cole on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The loss of Santonio Holmes is a loss for fantasy owners in deeper leagues, but will also be a loss for fantasy owners that have Mark Sanchez. Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens will replace the injured Holmes and Hill (hamstring). The detrimental affect the loss of Holmes will have on the Jets offense may ultimately lead to Tim Tebow as the starting quarterback. With the loss of playmakers on the offensive side of the ball in New York, a simplistic run based offense could at least make the Jets competitive.
