Jets fear star WR's foot injury could be serious
The New York Daily News has reported that the Jets organization feels Santonio Homes’ foot injury will effectively end his season. An exact diagnosis and the extent to which Holmes’ foot has been injured has yet to be indicated by the Jets. Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley will be the starting receivers for the Jets in Week 5, while Stephen Hill’s status is still in question with a hamstring injury. (Manish Mehta on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The loss of Holmes will not only affect fantasy owners of the Jets wide receiver but will also affect those who own Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. Holmes is Sanchez’s favorite target and the two have connected 20 times on 41 targets, for 272 yards, and one touchdown. With a lack of playmakers on offense and the Jets pinned against the Texan, who rank 2nd in pass 1st in total defense, the starts may have aligned for Tebow Time begin in New York.
