Steelers RB could return from ACL injury against Eagles | Rashard Mendenhall (knee) is on track to play this Sunday against the Eagles. Mike Tomlin expects Mendenhall to participate fully in practice this week and play Sunday. Mendenhall is nine months removed from an ACL tear. Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer will most likely platoon the backup role for Mendenhall. (Ed Bouchette on Twitter)
FF Today's Take: Mendenhall plays the Eagles this Sunday and their rush defense that ranks 12th in the NFL. Fantasy owners that were patient enough to hold onto Mendenhall will be rewarded in the long run, but the Steelers running back’s matchup against the Eagles is less than desirable. From Week 6 to Week 10 Steelers play the Titans, Bengals, Redskins, Giants, and Chiefs who rank 27th, 24th, 10th, 21st, and 20th respectively against the rush. Four out of the next five matchups will find Mendenhall ranked as a low end RB2 or a high end FLEX and help the Steelers 31st ranked rushing attack.
